There have been more than double the amount of sea turtle deaths, compared to this time last year. This has experts thinking that we will never know the full impact. This spill will have a very long lasting effect.
Some turtle watchers say the Loggerhead sea turtles could be back on the endangered list soon because fewer nests are showing up on area beaches. A report from Collier County.

Such a sad situation - and one that should never have come about. But we never seem to learn. And now they are planning to drill even deeper up off the eastern shore of Canada. God only knows if and when a similar tragedy will occur there and destroy even more. There seems to be no end to our stupidity.
