Gilda the Loggerhead
Gilda, a Loggerhead sea turtle had one flipper amputated, after she was hit by a boat propeller, nearly two years ago. She was treated at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, trained to swim both right and left without a flipper and released. You can read her story and track her travels.

This is the coolest thing! Thank you for the link!
That is weird. We were on the island last week. They found a nest on Captiva. That a sea turtle with One flipper laid a nest! And one lady saw a turtle at 3:30 pm lay a nest by south seas! We had to go the next morning to mark the nest with Alan. She showed us pictures of the turtle laying the eggs!
Colton that must have been fun! That is odd, but there have been a lot of sea turtles with amputated flippers in the last 2 or 3 years. I feel bad for the poor things, they have a hard life even when they have four. It is amazing har far and how fast they travel.
