Since February, 180 sea turtles have stranded on the east coast. Fifty of those turtles were found alive and were sent to eight different rehab facilities. That is more than three times the normal amount of strandings. Their illness is a mystery. They were all found weak and suffering from general sickness.
Because of over crowding issues, three of the sea turtles were sent to the Clinic for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) on Sanibel Island,to recuperate.
